He is Ph.D. (CSE) and done Post Graduation in Computer Applications from Punjab University, Chandigarh and also Post Graduation in Business Administration in Total Quality Management. Started his career with Groz Beckert Asia, Chandigarh as Programmer / Analyst in 1998, and worked two years with IT industry after that joined academic institution with passion and flair toward research and development, started with N C College of Engineering, Panipat and finally joined HIMT Group as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Application in year 2001.

He comes from a sound technical background with an industrial and academic experience of about 22 years, and firmly believes that his academic experience the Dean of a Department has provided him with the credentials needed to grow and succeed as a Director / Dean of a Group of Institutions. 

Being from the IT background, developed robust IT infrastructure in HIMT Group. Apart from this, he established strong placement cell to provide job / training opportunity to his students. He has founded Microsoft Academic Alliance Program (MSDN-AA), Prometric Center, Distance Education Cell.

He has been the key person for maintaining the good Industry – Institution relationship. He has written 05 books and attended 35 Conferences / Seminars / Workshops, apart from that chaired the sessions of International Conference. Also, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Sharma has been graced with more than 25 awards and honors from the prestigious International / National organization for his achievements such as Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, The International Einstein Award for Scientific Achievement by IBC, India’s Future CIOs Award and many more.
