Meet Viji Hari, an energetic CEO and a formidable speaker. She has been working towards her vision of making workspaces safe and more welcoming to their employees in every way. She is an expert consultant in the matters of Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) in the workplace, Diversity, and Inclusion.
She had a zeal to ensure workplaces all over the world were safe and wanted to extend her expertise and bring about a change in the corporate culture.
And so, she has worked with more than 200 companies globally, trained over 2 lakh people, and successfully handled more than 200 sexual harassment cases.
After finishing her Bachelor of Engineering degree at Madras University, she worked as a project manager with Infosys for almost 13 years. After which, she Co-Founded KelpHR, a human resources consultancy firm which helped brands in setting up governance models and compliance.
Being a victim of sexual harassment herself in her life, this has given her the drive and passion to the cause of creating safer workplace free of discrimination and harassment. Based on her experience of solving harassment issues, she came across many stories that she felt might be worth sharing and worth learning from. And that compilation took the form of her book, “Behind Closed Cubicles” and “Break the Taboo”.
She believes ‘Happy employees make a happier, secure, harmonious and productive workplace’, so she has created a series of mindful and wellness workshops that cover the employees’ mental well-being.
After working for about 7 years, she moved on to start a new brand, CecureUs (Pronounced as Secure Us ), that works solely on making safer workplaces for people, promoting employee assistance programs, and encouraging diversity and inclusion.She made a huge impact by preventing harassment issues and guiding people in the right direction to ensuring everyone gets equal opportunities in the corporate world.
She is also an active member of CII-TamilNadu and WICCI. She loves addressing college students as it very important for the next generation to create gender parity and equal opportunities for all. This truly deserves all the applause and appreciation!
