Ms. Supriya Agarwal - Turning Science Fiction to Reality: Marketing the Future
With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of business, marketing, and technology, Ms. Supriya Agarwal worked in AI/ML long before it was a buzzword. In 2010, she trained a data model on proprietary software to automatically identify the sentiment of social media chatter happening online for brands such as Toyota, Tiger Beer, and Canon in Singapore.
Since 2020, she has been working in venture capital and focused on driving investments in ‘deep technology’ startups through digital marketing. She believes in the ‘science for good’ and is making a dent in the universe by enabling investments in climate and human health startups.
To educate the industry, she has authored a white paper on ‘Marketing for Deep Tech Startups’ which has been published in the International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR). She has a unique blend of Eastern and Western education and combined with diverse work experience from top-tier employers across the globe, she excels in digital transformation, marketing technology, marketing data strategy, product management, and investor acquisition.
Her work experience covers high-impact roles at early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies such as Gartner, SAP, J.P. Morgan, and Moody’s. Due to her subject matter expertise, she was selected to be a judge in prestigious marketing events such as ANA’s Reggie Awards and Stevie’s American Business Awards.
She has also been an entrepreneur and previously architected, built, and launched a curated, venture intelligence platform focused on the early-stage life sciences ecosystem. She received her Bachelor of Technology from DA-IICT, India, and holds a dual major MBA in Marketing and Finance from CUNY – Baruch College, New York. In 2019, she upgraded her skills by pursuing an Executive Education course in Digital Transformation at MIT, Boston.
