Ram is a distinguished finance professional who has taken great interest in blending technology with finance. Ram is an all India Chartered Accountancy rank holder and started his professional career as a partner of a leading audit firm. The foundation of seventeen years in professional practice, kindled his curiosity to use technology for effective solutions and he moved into technology when 2K was the buzzword. He is also Cost and Management accountant and found that technology like SAP provided him deeper learning in management accounting.
Driven by the interest in technology, Ram expanded the technology experience into Enterprise wide platforms and Business Intelligence. In the initial years of outsourcing to India, he was successful in bringing many of the fortune 100 companies to look at India as high-end destination for financial services. He has travelled extensively on work to USA and Europe. Ram has always been passionate about academics and strongly believes that constant update of knowledge opens our mind and changes our perspective by building on what we already know. He has the top three professional qualifications in finance in USA being CPA, CMA and CFA. He is also Certified Information Systems Auditor from USA. With keenness to share the knowledge, Ram took interest in teaching.He has been invited to many premier bodies and educational institutions to address and speak on various topics relating to finance and technology.
Ram, in his senior management role in top corporates has managed teams across various countries, transformed business processes and set up global shared services for fortune 100 companies. After donning accounting professional practice and corporate role, Ram decided to follow his heart to set up a world class organization to provide deep domain based financial services and technology solutions and set up H-Garb Informatix. H-Garb is derived from the Vedic word ‘Hiranyagarbha’ meaning literally the ‘golden womb’ and the source of creation of the universe or the manifested cosmos. H-Garb now serves global customers who look forward to finding the best services and solutions in finance and technology. The company specializes in financial accounting and analytics, technology solutions including SAP consulting and implementation, Government Fiscal analysis and scoring. The company has recently completed US nationwide financial statements review for more than 25,000 government entities and involved in review of US State Pension Plans with assets worth $ 4 trillion. H-Garb provides consulting to various companies in the US for implementation of cloud-based SAP. In recognition of the services, H-Garb was awarded ‘Excellence in Finance Award’ in FiNext Conference in Dubai in February 2020.
Ram loves to serve the society and has been Community Services Development Director in Rotary and has initiated and implemented projects to cover skill development to under privileged girl children to enable them in career decision making, infrastructure to various public schools, environmental projects including water body restoration and providing green cover, and also involved in creating vision centers for avoidable blindness. He is a fitness enthusiast and has taken part in various marathon. He is deep into yoga and meditation for mental well-being.
