Being Young and passionate about entrepreneurship, Mr. Rajesh Bhatia entered into a partnership and set up a factory of explosion-proof equipment, back in 1988 in Gujarat and ran it successfully. In December 1991, he appeared for the CMA examination, final group, and cleared it in his first attempt, the year following which in February, he received a job offer from a listed company. He later switched his job and joined Escorts Ltd as a Management Trainee and after one year of his service, was transferred to Finance. Mr. Bhatia became the youngest person perhaps to be elevated to the position of Chief Manager Finance in the shortest possible time. While handling responsibilities at Escorts, he completed his MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
Later, he joined Ranbaxy in the Internal Audit Department and handled various stints in other businesses like in the Global Consumer Healthcare Division (GCHC) as their Regional Finance Controller (RFC). The responsibilities also included overseeing the supply chain and distribution of products. As RFC, he led his team to transform the perspective people held toward the Finance department, commonly terming it as a ‘roadblock’, ‘pothole’, ‘speed-breaker’ et al. After spending whooping 32 years in the industry, his entrepreneurial spirit has now induced him to return to his passion for becoming an entrepreneur again and provide jobs to Indian youth in the field of emerging technologies, owing to which, in November 2021 he founded RevoQuant AI. This start-up is in IT and ITES sector driven by its vision to deliver growth and profitability to its clients through digital and process transformations using emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.
