Mr. Muralidhar Rath: An Inspiring Icon of Dedication and Service

In the realm of social, political, and religious service, Sj. Muralidhar Rath stands as a beacon of inspiration. Born on February 20, 1934, in Chandpur, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, to Champa Devi and Dhaneswar Rath, his life has been an extraordinary journey of perseverance, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of society.

Rising through sheer hard work and determination, he believed that success is a result of diligence rather than mere luck. His philosophy of life, encapsulated in the mantra “Fight for Right,” propelled him to bring transformative changes to his village and district. His dedication to social service led to significant developmental milestones, such as the establishment of irrigation facilities (Arijang Sub-minor Canal), the provision of drinking water and electricity, and construction of new roads in his Gram Panchayat (GP).

His contributions extend beyond infrastructure; he was instrumental in establishing a post office, a nationalized bank, a veterinary hospital, a police outpost, an Anganwadi center, a guest house, and a funeral parlor in Chandpur village. Furthermore, he took significant steps to renovate temples and foster a religious atmosphere, promoting mental peace and social confidence.

His personal relationships with eminent leaders of his time reflect his stature in the political and social landscape. Even today, from his residence in Bhubaneswar, he continues to inspire his followers with his wisdom and insights into the evolving socio-political landscape of Odisha.

His biography, “JEEBAN SAUDA,” published by his sons, has gained immense popularity among his admirers, while its cinematic adaptation, “DEEPA SIKHA,” has emerged as a motivational masterpiece.

He is not just an individual but a living icon, a symbol of resilience and an unwavering source of inspiration for students, politicians, social workers, and activists. His remarkable legacy continues to illuminate the path for those striving for progress and justice.
