Iftkhar’ s journey, rooted in the captivating city of Agra, has been a testament to resilience and determination. Diagnosed with polio at just one year old, he encountered numerous obstacles throughout his life. When the time came to choose his career path, he faced discouragement and rejection from medical colleges due to his disability. However, today, as the founder of a thriving startup, Iftkhar not only defies these limitations but also empowers others.
The path to success was fraught with difficulties, with his disability being a prominent challenge. Moreover, hailing from Agra meant limited access to career guidance. When he sought advice from a friend preparing for the CAT exam, he faced ridicule and skepticism, with many suggesting alternative career paths.
Despite the negativity, Iftkhar’ s determination shone through. He cracked the CAT, ultimately choosing IIM Calcutta for his MBA. He firmly believes that disability is a state of mind and credits his unyielding determination and his parents’ unwavering support for his achievements.
Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Iftkhar worked as business analyst at renowned companies such as HCL and TCS. His also worked as Centre Operational Head at IMS India and as Director – Operations at another IT firm. Despite his corporate success, his entrepreneurial spirit pushed him to seek a path beyond the comfort of the corporate world, ultimately leading to the birth of his own venture.
ALIQAN Technologies, founded by Iftkhar Ali, stands as a self-sustaining digital solution provider offering services such as mobile application development, web development, digital marketing, e-commerce, gaming, digital design, software testing, corporate training, and staff augmentation/contractual hiring.
ALIQAN, boasts an impressive clientele, including HCL, Genpact, PwC, Wipro, CPP, and the Shiv Nadar Foundation. Iftkhar’ s future plans include expanding operations, and divulging into related services ventures.
Beyond business success, Iftkhar aspires to raise awareness about the challenges faced by disabled individuals and advocate for a more inclusive and accessible society. His greatest desire is to empower those with physical challenges, helping them stay focused, confident, and motivated.
His entrepreneurial journey is defined by self-reliance and resilience, as he bootstrapped his venture from day one, avoiding external funding. He thrives on transforming challenges into opportunities, emphasizing the importance of passion, resilience, and work-life balance as keys to success.
