Born and raised in Kerala, his early years were deeply influenced by the cooperative movement, which has long been a pillar of socio-economic development in the region. His commitment to public service was evident from a young age, leading him to serve as the Panchayat President of Engandiyoor Panchayat for two years. During his tenure, he spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving local infrastructure, education, and healthcare services, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

His dedication to social service spans over 40 years, during which he has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at uplifting the underprivileged and promoting sustainable development.

His passion for cooperative movements and social service naturally progressed into his role as the Chairman of Kairali Agriculture Multi-State Cooperative Society, an institution he has nurtured into a model of success and innovation.

Under his visionary leadership, Kairali Agriculture has grown exponentially since its inception in 2022. Today, the society operates 36 branches across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, providing direct employment to more than 500 individuals. Kairali’s impact extends to around 20,000 farmer members who have benefited from the society’s diverse agricultural projects. These projects, ranging from value-added coconut products and plant-based home care products to herbal sanitary napkins, have not only created sustainable income opportunities for farmers but have also introduced eco-friendly products into the market.

One of the most groundbreaking initiatives under his leadership is Kairali’s carbon reduction and credit generation project through regenerative agriculture. This project is a pioneering effort in India, positioning Kairali as the first cooperative society in the country to actively combat climate change. By integrating farmers as stakeholders in this carbon credit project, Kairali has created a system where the benefits of carbon credit trading are passed directly to the farmers. This initiative not only incentivizes sustainable farming practices but also provides farmers with additional income streams, thereby ensuring the long-term viability of the agricultural sector.

Kairali’s commitment to environmental sustainability is further solidified by its membership in the CTX Global Exchange in Sydney, a significant achievement that underscores the society’s active participation in the global carbon credit market. This membership not only enhances Kairali’s credibility on the international stage but also opens up new avenues for collaboration and growth.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the cooperative sector and his exemplary leadership, he was honored with the Indian Achievers Award for Best Business Leadership in 2024.
