A philanthropist and humanitarian, Prem Bhandari is Chairman of the US chapter of the Jaipur Foot Organisztion, the world’s largest organization dedicated to helping the physically challenged. He has also been instrumental in helping people in need of medical help by arranging angioplasties and kidney transplants. In addition, he has been instrumental in rescuing several Indians who had unwittingly become victims of human trafficking and exploitation in the Middle East. He was honoured with the Sher-e-Manhattan award by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for his services to community in 2006.
