India is home to over 11200 startups including 111 total unicorns, making it the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world after the US and China. Startups this ‘Techade’ are likely to contribute nearly $120 billion to the country’s GDP by 2030.
Start-up culture in India is not a recent phenomena but only recently it has garnered significant attention. It has slowly begun taking place into main-line business and is believed to be the revolution that was much needed in India. This recent scale-up of the Indian startup ecosystem is the result of multiple factors – massive explosion of consumers going online, massive inflow of entrepreneurial and technology talent, and finally large capital inflows from global investors.
Startups are now being widely recognized as crucial drivers of growth and jobs creation. Through innovation and scalable technology, startups can generate impactful solutions, and thereby act as vehicles for socio-economic development and transformation. In the last few years, a large number of startups have been established in India in almost every sector of the economy. The main startups which are known to the common man in the country are Flipkart, Nykaa, Zoho, BharatPe, Oyo, MakeMyTrip, Swiggy, Zepto, CRED, etc. These startups have created more jobs, income, and indigenous technology. With the emergence of technology at a rapid pace, India awaits to witness many more successful startups in subsequent years. The Government of India also has launched various initiatives to boost them, encouraging many young and budding entrepreneurs to come up with innovative and practical ideas that will contribute to Nation development.
In order to recognize and motivate those individuals behind the successful startups, Indian Achiever’s Forum takes pride in introducing them to the world by honouring them the “IAA for Promising Start up”. Since individuals from various business backgrounds convene, this shall further provide a vast networking platform to connect people from various business backgrounds in developing and sharing their ideas, opinions and knowledge on the key issues.
