Dr. N. M. Siva Mangai is an Academic Champion, very passionate about teaching for inspiring and empowering younger generations for tomorrow’s world. An outstanding women achiever in research and engineering, she is a continuous inspiration for women for unfailingly devoted in home making and engineering research.
Dr.N. M.Siva Mangai completed her BE in ECE from Madurai Kamaraj University, pursued her Masters in VLSI Design from PSG College of Technology and received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Anna University Chennai, India in Information and Communication Engineering and is currently working as anAssociate professor in KarunyaInstitute of Technology and Sciences.
A VLSI Engineering Guru, and the best-known name in that field, she was instrumental in the fabrication of IC under the India Chip Programme (funded by MeitY – Govt of India) in the year 2008. She has published more than 75 original research publications in reputed National &International Journals and Conferences. Her research publications were cited in more than 1200 research publications worldwide. She has delivered many technical talks in National and International Forums and was invited to Chair several International Conferences. She is a senior member of IEEE, member of VLSI Society of India (VSI), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) societies.
In her career, she has guided many research scholars to achieve their doctoral dream, and holds a patent on Graphene optical data storage using Nano holes. She has received various awards including IETE – Students’ Journal Awardee (2014), Outstanding Women Achiever (Engineering) in VLSI Design (2017), a representative in IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference(WIE ILC) in USA from India(2018).
