Introducing Dr. Animesh Gupta, a dynamic General Physician and Diabetologist from Patna with an experience of 13 years in the medical field. While doing private practice in Patna, he realized that there is a lack of health awareness and disease screening among poor people. So, he started an NGO named “Sushruta Health and Educational Trust” in 2011, with the aim of providing free medical treatment and health education to vulnerable people of the community, under the guidance of his father (Dr. Jawahar Prasad Gupta), who is renowned General & Paediatric surgeon of Bihar.
During the COVID pandemic 2020, when the medical facilities were overburden and people were avoiding hospital visit because of fear factor, he started teleconsultation through online portal and around 10000 patients were consulted through teleconsultation during 2020-21 with a minimal fee.
As an academician he has published around 20 research papers in International/ National Indexed Journal and conducted various public health activities in the Jurisdiction of Mangalore and Sasaram.
At present he is working as Associate Professor in Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Bihar and also holding the post of NSS (National Service Scheme) Coordinator & Nodal officer of Fit India Movement Programme (Ministry of Education, GOI) in Gopal Narayan Singh University.
He is passionate about gaining new knowledge and providing quality medical education among medical students.
