Proficiency in design research, analysis, synthesis, and visualization has significantly benefited major tech firms in client acquisition: Mr. Lakshay Jain shares his journey of success
Mr. Lakshay Jain has dedicated around eight years to the field of digital transformation, enhancing product accessibility, usability, and customer satisfaction. His proficiency in design research, analysis, synthesis, and visualization has significantly benefited major tech firms in client acquisition. Inspired by Devi Ahilyabai Holkar and committed to mentoring and educating the next generation, he frequently delivers high-quality design lectures and talks on various platforms.
In 2023, he conducted a field study with artisans registered with DC Handicrafts across India. The study aimed to understand the persistent challenges in the low-scale industry, which, despite 75 years of independence, still leaves many artisans lacking necessities. The research sought to uncover their goals, aspirations, and views on the future of the handicraft and handloom industry.
Collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, he conducted contextual interviews and observation studies to gain deeper insights. This study not only revealed the artisans’ struggles and aspirations but also served as a practical example for students in the BS Degree in Data Science at IIT Madras to learn about ‘Design Thinking’. The findings were also presented on various prominent platforms.
