Introducing the unstoppable, Mr. Sandesh Mishra, who is the Co-Founder and CEO of BIMA GARAGE. While working for more than a decade with health insurance at senior management level, he realized that everyone was selling HI. Bima Garage was incepted to address the common problems by establishing the first ever business model that emphasizes on integration of health care ecosystem. It was December 2017 when the company first started working on the “Idea”.
Post ideation, they envisioned to get the survey done on viability of business on ground. The company’s Co-Founder, Mr. Hemant, vigilantly worked on ground level to engage new customer with the company and creative passive awareness about the company aand its functioning in the existing industry.
In the year 2018 , the company got legally registered with its three promising Co – Founders, Mr. Sandesh, Mr. Devang and Mr. Hemant. By this time, they established two offices in Mumbai and another one in Surat and had around thirty four hospitals as their customers. They actively started looking for funding. As fortune would have it, they met Ms. Jaya who became their first investor partner & also the training Head.
By this time, they were present in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Surat, Ahmedabad & 50 + hospitals.
They celebrated our first anniversary with 45 employees across the desk network. Within the same year they also bagged their first two awards: –
- “Most promising health care startup” from times group.
- “Best Health Care Startup” Global health care leadership Awards.
Here again one of their colleague Pradyuman intended to join the team with a minimal investment. He came on board with hands on experience of Hospital networking for cashless empanelment.
Also, they participated for incubation program and got selected in top 20 startups at AIC – NMIMS, Mumbai.
Post this they expanded to few more new cities & started getting approached by various fund houses and PE investors. This boosted the company’s morale to another level and soon they got their first round of investment from PE along with extremely reputed group of investors. As of now the company is spread in 8 cities and 3 states with 87 employees.
Before they could celebrate their second anniversary on 19th June 2020 suddenly the whole world turned around and things got bad to worse for every business due to Covis-19 pandemic. The company was also affected and business was on standstill. They had to face challenges faced on work front and employee retention, customers (Hospitals) were confused with frequent changes in guidelines on treatment protocols, cash flow crunch, low flow of patients. This was the time when they thought of a new product which can be a B2C and fast moving. They again got on ideation stage for this and spent sleepless nights juggling between their existing desk business retention, expansion and coming up with unique product direct for customer claim servicing and existing policy benefits with a larger and long term idea of creating a community of Insurance & health fraternity .
This is how their most ambitious product “HobNob” was incubated. They launched the product on their second anniversary (19thJune 2020) Within the first month of launch they got 1000 customers registered on their portal for claims services.
Even though the world was going through a catastrophe, their investors besowed them with their trust and accepted their proposals for further funding.With the fresh funding, they got the call center setup, CRM setup, bigger office setup and recruited.
Today with odds of market, BIMA GARAGE stands firm & strong on our commitment and vision of becoming the most trusted Insurance servicing company across Asia. Talking about the recent times, they have their presence 36 cities for “HobNob” customers and very soon you would see us PAN India.
